Random Facts About Moi

I am borrowing this idea from a sweet friend of mine.  It is 10am and I am still tired.  It's been a long week and I have lots I want to share with you but at the moment, I have no energy.  With that said, I am going to share some random, fun facts with you!  (I know you are excited!)  So sit back and enjoy getting to know a side of me you may or may not want to know about!  ;)

I started writing poetry when I was 9 years old.  To date, I have 490, not including some really bad "songs" that I wrote during my 80's hair band days.

I refused to get my hair cut after a hairdresser cut my bangs too short when I was 13 years old.  I went a good 15 years or so before I let anyone come near me with scissors.  (Not counting my mom, who only cut the back, NEVER my bangs.)

My lifeverse is James 1 verse 2, "Count it all joy."  And one day I will get that tattooed on either the inside of my right foot or my wrist.

Speaking of James, that entire book of the Bible is my favorite. I could read it daily and find something new that inspires me.

When I was little, I used to eat chicken tummies, livers and hearts with my Dad.  I still LOVE fried chicken livers.  (And I grew up in Southeastern Connecticut!)

I am a PROUD Navy brat.  Do not mess with our Military.  Do not mess with our Vets.

I met my husband in an AOL Christian Chat room.  He lived in Tennessee and I lived in New York.  We have been married for 9 years.

I still sleep with a twin size flat sheet that I have had since I was a girl.  (We have a king-sized bed.)  I love the  way the edging of the sheet feels.  It comforts me and I cannot part with it.

My son melted my heart a few Sunday's ago when he broke out with "Jesus Loves Me" at the dinner table.  He is 2 years old and he is my little sunshine.

I am addicted to Pinterest.  Seriously, I could pin for hours but I don't have the time.  I have made quite a few dishes and crafts from the things I have found on this site.  I love it.  The craft ideas, the meal ideas, the dream kitchens and gardens.  SIGH.

If I knew what my last meal was going to be, it would be lobster, chicken finger sub, peanut butter m&m's, blueberry almonds, a coco loco, and Extreme Cookie Crumble Ice Cream.  And I would pray I could eat ALL of it.

I have a scar on my left knee from when I was 5 and running on the curb while waiting for the school bus.  My mom told me not to run on it because I would get hurt.  I didn't believe her.  Then I fell and really tore up my knee.  She took me in the house, cleaned me up (you could see my BONE!), put a band-aid on me and sent me to school.  I should've listened to my mom.  (She should've taken me to get stitches!)  SIGH.  Lesson learned - don't run on the curb.  LOL

I became a follower of Jesus at the age of 23.  Best decision of my life.  I've strayed, but He never has.  I want more of Him.  I need more of Him.  ♥

Feel free to share some of YOUR random facts in the comment section.  I would love to hear some of yours.

Counting it all joy,
Angela
