200th Post!

Woah, my 200th Posting AND a cute little project I just completed!  Yay!

So, as many of you know, I am a Pinterest Addict.  I don't want help, though, so no intervention is needed.  I am also a Hobby Lobby addict.  Intervention MAY be needed there, however.  ☺  I found a GREAT deal on 11x14 canvases.  I got a pack of 2 for $7.99 plus 40% off with my handy dandy coupon.  Score!

What to do with them.  I have lots of ideas running through my mind.  I finally decided on this little project.  Here is how it went...

Found the saying that I wanted and added stickers that I had bought from the dollar store and from Hobby Lobby.  {Unfortunately I ran out of letters for mine and my hubby's name... doh!}

Then I covered it with free paint - yep FREE!  Gotta love the freebies from the likes of Glidden and such!  Keep your eyes peeled to their websites for when they offer freebies.  Even if you live in an apartment, such as myself, you can use the paint for craft projects.  It's great! ☺

Let the paint set for a few minutes but don't let it dry completely.  Carefully remove the stickers.

It'll look something like this.  It didn't come out as "clean" as I wanted it too, plus the "K" in Knoxville came off at some point so I knew I'd have to fix that.  Instead of leaving it white as planned, I decided I'd just fill in the white with paint.  So I let it dry completely and painted in the white with different colors.

Here is the finished piece!  The paint used, minus the orange, was either free or only cost me $1.  The orange was from my son's stash.  ☺  I used a permanent marker to write in my and my hubby's name.  Not sure if I will keep it that way or not.  If I decide to change it, I can just paint over it and do over.  No biggie.

Total cost: Under $4

Stay tuned as I have a great posting coming up either this weekend or early next week!  There will be an amazing offer for all my readers/followers!  And I may just be working on a giveaway - just in time for Christmas!  So go tell all your friends to start following me - get ready!

Counting it all joy,
Angela
